The association Kerebuka, in collaboration with the women’s commission in the diaspora continue their activities to support young girls and women. This time, it was on July 8, 2022 at one of the schools of excellence in Bujumbura located in Kajaga. The objective of this visit was the administration of advice for these young girls who go on vacation and provide them with some hygiene equipment.
According to Auriane Itangishaka, leader of Burundian women in the diaspora, supporting young girls and women is one of the priorities during their stay in the country during this month of July. She said she was pleased with the attention drawn by these students to the advice given.
According to Maître Solange, president of the association Kerebuka, this association has established relations with this school as they had already visited these young people to encourage the most successful and promised to return to extend this support. She also explained that the Kerebuka association plans a close collaboration with the women of the Burundian diaspora to perpetuate the commendable work already initiated for the benefit of women and girls.
According to these two women leaders of the Diaspora, various activities are planned including visits to different provinces.
The young girls who have benefited from this advice and equipment have expressed their joy and satisfaction to see their elders thinking about them. “We already had information on the subject but today’s instructions gave us more light on how to use the hygiene equipment“, saidt he representative of these students.
