NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 14 — The government and Doctors’ union officials are working on finalising a return to work formula with striking doctors that seeks to end the strike by the medics which has paralysed operations in public hospitals.
Leading the lawyer who has represented religious leaders in the court proceedings, Peter Gachui, to declare, “Praise God!”
In the agreement the doctors want their union officials and colleagues not to be victimised as they go back to work as well as payment for the 100 days they have been on strike.
The three judge bench headed by Martha Koome emphasized the need for all parties to expeditiously bring the impasse to a conclusion to alleviate the suffering of Kenyans.
